On Monday, July 13, 2015, at 2:49 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriffs Office deputies responded to a residence in the 500 block of Criswell Court in LaPlace for the report of a silent burglar alarm. When deputies arrived and checked the residence, all the accessible doors and windows were secured. A locked gate prevented deputies from checking the rear of the fenced in residence, but deputies did see that the back door was closed.

When the homeowner arrived home, she called the Sheriffs Office and reported that she found a window air conditioning unit damaged. The reporting deputy saw one of the accordion spacers on the side of the air conditioner was pushed in. The opening was too small for an adult to fit through, but it was big enough for a small child to fit through. The homeowner suspected her son might have been the perpetrator who may have had his 5-year-old son go through the opening.

A witness told the investigating deputy that a male subject and young boy was seen leaving the leaving the residence and walking down the street to a gold car with an out of state license plate. The description of the man and car matched that of the victims son.

The deputy went to the sons residence and made contact with the son, his wife, and young boy. During the investigation, the son confessed to the burglary. The investigation further revealed to investigators that the boy was sent through the opening to unlock the door, and when the door was opened, the burglar alarm was activated. The son with the boy fled the residence to the car, and his wife drove the car. The deputy identified the son as Anthony Wilson, 30, and his wife as Casey Ramsey, 27, both of Madeline Court in LaPlace.

Deputies arrested Anthony Wilson and booked him with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. His bond has not been set.
