Kendall Smith Arrested in Narcotics Investigation

After receiving a complaint of ongoing illegal narcotics activity in the 200 block of Cardinal Street in LaPlace, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives initiated a narcotics investigation. Over the course of the investigation, detectives identified Kendall Smith, 35, of Cardinal Street as a suspect.

A search warrant was obtained, and a search was conducted of the residence. Items recovered were: crack cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, methamphetamine, hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia used in the sale of illegal narcotics. The value of all recovered narcotics is about $2,000.

Detectives arrested Kendall Smith and booked him with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute MDMA, possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody in lieu of an $116,500 bond. Smith was arrested in St. John the Baptist Parish 32 times since October 1998.
