James Reuter IV Arrested in Narcotics Traffic Stop

On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, while working a traffic enforcement detail on I-10 in LaPlace, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding.

Deputies smelled the stench of marijuana on the driver and emitting from the vehicle. Upon a subsequent search of the vehicle, narcotic detectives recovered 3.39 pounds of marijuana ($6800), 150 grams of mushrooms ($2140), drug paraphernalia, and over $25,000 in cash.

The driver of the car, James Reuter IV, 25, of Baton Rouge, was arrested and booked with distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS (2) and possession of drug paraphernalia (3). Reuter remains in custody in lieu of a $104,500 bond.
